Challenge

The existing website lacked an intuitive structure, making it difficult for patients to navigate services and equally challenging for doctors and hospital staff to complete essential tasks efficiently. This created a fragmented user experience and limited the platform’s effectiveness.

The goal was to redesign the website interface into a more intuitive and user-friendly system. By enhancing navigation and strengthening accessibility, the new design aimed to deliver a seamless experience that could effectively serve the needs of patients, doctors, and hospital staff alike.

Process

User Survey & Research: Collaborating closely with the hospital team, I conducted multiple sessions to gather comprehensive user data and deeply understand their needs. This process included identifying and meticulously documenting key pain points to ensure the design addressed real-world usability challenges effectively.

User Persona: From the research insights, I crafted a user persona representing a typical patient seeking convenient, reliable, and accessible healthcare services. The persona highlighted critical pain points such as difficulty in booking consultations, lack of clarity in navigating services, and the need for mobile-friendly access - providing a clear foundation to guide design decisions.

Information Architecture: Information Architecture helps structure the content in a way that allows users to navigate ABMH’s platform effortlessly, ensuring quick access to key features without extra effort.

User Journey Map: This approach helped me identify the emotions users experience as they navigate through the website.

Low Fidelity Wireframing: I used low fidelity wireframes to quickly map out layouts and user flows. These basic sketches helped communicate initial ideas to higher authorities, focusing purely on structure and usability without design distractions.

High Fidelity Wireframing: The high-fidelity wireframes showcased the near-final design, incorporating real content, branding, and interactive elements. This enabled the ABMH leadership team to clearly envision the final product and share focused feedback prior to development.
